چکیده
Themainpart of the110kVdistribution systemoperatedby thePDCisa ring-operatednetwork. The whole 110 kV distribution system is operated as a system with a solidly grounded neutral (Figure C4.1). The PDC-operated 110 kV distribution system is connected with neighboring operators’ distribution systems and with the 220 kV transmission system by means of three autotransformers, 160 MVA each, installed at three substations: (a) LUB – industrial and household customers; (b) WAN – predominantly industrial customers; (c) SKA – near to a heat and power generating plant.1 At these points instruments have been installed to measurer the power quality factors. The measurements were carried out over seven months, at three measurement points. The effect of these measurements is recorded in the database which contains, among other things, the recorded voltage dips.

Custom Power is the application of power electronics to improve the quality of power distribution for sensitive industrial plants. Industries reporting production stops due to voltage disturbances, like short interruptions and voltage dips, include paper mills, semiconductors facilities and other industries with fully automated production. Voltage dips are sudden drops in voltage, with duration...

Embedded Real Time application uses multi threading, a key concept of any conventional OS. The advantage of multi-threading include greater throughput, more efficient use of CPU so that it cannot remain idle for long time, better system reliability, improved performance on multiprocessor computer. The use of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOSs) became an attractive solution to simplify the desig...
متن کاملVirtual Instruments for Identification and Analysis of Voltage Dips
Power quality is a term often used today for describing any event manifested in voltage, current or frequency variation that can result in malfunction of end-user equipment. During voltage dips the supply voltage drops to a lower value for a short duration, and a lot of modern technologic equipment is very sensitive to this kind of perturbations. A voltage dip means that the required energy is ...
متن کاملEnhanced High Performance Power Compensation Methodology by IPFC Using PIGBT-IDVR
Currently, power systems are involuntarily controlled without high speed control and are frequently initiated, therefore resulting in a slow process when compared with static electronic devices. Among various power interruptions in power supply systems, voltage dips play a central role in causing disruption. The dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is a process based on voltage control that compensat...
متن کاملVirtual Instrument for Power Quality Research
Abstrac t In the paper a virtual instrument for power quality measurement and research is proposed. The instrument is divided in several modules which provide generation, measurement and recording of the typical power quality (PQ) disturbances such as: harmonics, voltage dips, interruptions, flicker, unbalance etc. The virtual instrument allows setting different measurement parameters which exp...
